Belgium-based Oli-B projects his optimistic, idealized vision of the world in his colorful and vivid images incorporating abstract and figurative shapes. Oli-B’s interest in shapes and colors is demonstrated in works like Find a way (2020), in which the composition is bound by the fluidity of form and the balance of colors. He creates harmony and balance in his pieces as his techniques emphasize rhythm and movement; he employs myriad media including acrylic, spray paint, digital and screen printing on canvas, paper, wood, and three-dimensional shapes. Taking on a Surrealist tone, the artist allows his imagination to guide the shapes, people, and elements in his work; these are applied to the surface in an intuitive and spontaneous manner.
